Operating the robots

Driving the machine will be a job.

When Safra machines start working real shifts, each one will have a trained operator on the controls — working over the network, from a desk, covering the overnight hours no one wants to spend in a cold room or on a hot dock. The skill is genuinely new: driving, supervising, and correcting a semi-autonomous machine doing physical work.

A short, compensated remote session — no experience or commitment required. Currently open to people living in or near San Antonio.

The honest version

No open salaried roles yet — and no pretending otherwise.

Safra is a one-person operation building its first machine, and this page won't list jobs that aren't ready to be filled. What's real today is the paid operator trial: a first, compensated step that lets a candidate try the work — driving in a simulated warehouse through the actual operator console — and shows how they operate under realistic conditions. It's a trial, not an offer of employment, and the form says so plainly.

When operator seats open ahead of the first deployments, trial participants hear about it first.

What the work is

A shift at the console.

Drive

Run the pick list

See through the machine's camera, drive the aisle, pull cases, build pallets. The console handles identity, task flow, and logging; the operator handles the work.

Judge

Make the calls

A damaged case, a lean in the stack, something on the floor that shouldn't be there — the machine doesn't decide what to do about the unexpected. The operator does.

Teach

Train the machine

Every shift is training data. As repetitive spans become skills the machine can run itself, the operator triggers and supervises them — and the job climbs from driving toward oversight.

The paid trial

Try the controls before either side commits.

A scheduled remote session in the simulated warehouse, driven through the real operator console, compensated for the time. No robotics background needed — steadiness and judgment matter more than joystick skill.
